This October, for 2 sweltering, mosquito-ridden, auntie-saturated (and hopefully ice kacang and roti-canai filled) days, I will be home for the happiest occasion in my favourite uncle's life. Lovely prospect. (*sweeps - the ordeal of a big homework pile awaiting my return- beneath my bed. . .) I hope to survive unmade beds, lack of sleep, brain boiling exams, and a cheap airport terminal. Meanwhile, I shall admire my new glossy, sleek, and rather attractive (if I do say so myself) hunk of plastic. My tentative ticket to autonomy.
